It is absolutely no secret that this time of year can be a little challenging when it comes to picking out gifts for people that you love. We feel like we know them so well BUT we still get stumped when picking out a gift for them. Look no further! I am here to give you my 2018 holiday gift guide. These are just a few ideas to help inspire you to pick out a couple of interesting gifts for the hair loving ladies in your life.
When I sat down to think about this topic I wanted to not just list out a few things that I thought were trendy right now or cool. I wanted to make sure I was giving you a list of things that actually worked well and that I thought any woman would want to open at lunch with their bestie or receive as a little surprise at their desk.
Of course, I will include the show stoppers so you can forward this post to your boyfriends and husbands….hint, hint! Giving hair products, accessories or tools is a surprising gift your friends or family won’t see coming but will be so happy to receive.
I don’t know about you but I LOVE giving little baskets of things or groups of gifts! Lol
I don’t know what it is but I love lots of little fun gifts that can be a little serious, a little functional, and a little FUN! So, don’t be afraid to mix and match these items however you want but I will be dropping info on what items would pair well together.
Before I dive into it I do want to list a couple of resources you may want to use to help you picking out a few of these items.

Now use this posts if you need help figuring out the hair type of the person you are purchasing gifts for. This is useful if you are purchasing a product like Shampoo and Conditioner or Styling Kit.
Obviously, it may be difficult for you to answer every step of this post but try to guestimate! If the product isn’t perfect, the receiver can typically easily exchange the product for what will be best for her.
How to determine your Hair Type

Here is my 2018 Holiday Gift Guide for Hair Lovers:

This brand knows how to make everything above and beyond and their headband collection is no exception. Every single one is absolutely adorable and would dress up not only any hair style but your entire outfit! Headbands are definitely in right now and if you don’t have any or if you know of someone that loves them, an adorable one from Anthrology is THE place to start!
4. Luxurious Hair Mask: Oribe Signature Moisture Masque
If there is a signature you want, its from Oribe! Oribe has been known for a very long time for its luxury hair care and this mask will make your hair feel just that. This mask will moisturize the driest of hair. They say this brand is for the hair obsessed and, I couldn’t agree more!
5. Healthier Hair Ties: AVIVA Spiral Hair Ties 
Give it up for another great stock stuffer or even using these are a present topper! I love these ties because not only are they better for the health of the hair because they don’t cause breakage, they also don’t create a dent in your hair when you take it down! These are made of a soft rubber and make a quick and easy messy bun or a sleek and loose ponytail!
6. Life changing hair towels: Aquis Hair Turban Towel

OK, This tool can seem a little overwhelming. If you know someone or you yourself have trouble styling your hair with a curling iron, this might be your answer. Make sure you use small sections and let the tool do the work for you! Youtube has a ton of great tutorial videos you can refer to for help as well. This has become a game changer for a lot of people who want bouncy fun curled hair without the back breaking work!
10. Hair Product: Set of 3’s
I always say, you need 3 basic products for long lasting beautiful hair. A primer, a styler and a finisher. Figure out what your loved ones favorite brand is and pick out 3 products that fit these guidelines.
Primer: Usually a leave in conditioner, hair oil or heat protectant.
Styler: Goes in damp hair before blow drying or air drying and serves a specific purpose. Defrizz, increase volume, or give grit.
Finisher: Hair spray is the most common finisher used on hair but lately you will see hair finished with palmades or dry shampoo…something to give the hair a finished off polished look, whatever your style!
I would keep an eye out for brands that are marketing Hair Styling Kits for the Holidays. Almost every department store that carries salon quality hair product will be doing gift boxes. Bonus is these are usually already beautiful packaged and ready to give!

If you aren’t in the Bay Area however, giving the gift of a hair appointment with the hairdresser she loves in your local town is an incredible gift that every single woman on the planet would be happy to be given.
With gift certificates you can choose the amount that you give and you don’t have to give enough for a whole makeover. You could even give the gift of a shampoo and style that she can use whenever she wants. Maybe she will decide to use it for Valentine’s Day or her Birthday!
