Mothers Day is literally right around the corner and I meant to have this post up at least a week ago. If your procrastination for picking up a Mothers Day gift is as bad as mine you need to keep reading!

Right now, I am about to give you the low down on some fun and interesting ideas for Mothers Day gifts (or let’s be honest, maybe even yourself)!Mothers Day Gifts always get me. Like any adult, my mom works and has money, so its hard to think of things she would like that she wouldn’t just buy herself.

I created this Mothers Day gift list with our mom’s in mind but remember this could be gift ideas for anyone, for any occasion. I’m also a big fan of the TREAT Yo SELF gift! So, feel free to grab yourself something from off this list cause, girl, you deserve it!

#1. Jewelry

A go to for many Mother’s Day gifts is jewelry. I love to pick up a pretty set of earrings for my mom while I am out of town that let my mom know I was thinking about her. Whether I am more local or internationally traveling, any time something sticks out that you think your mom would like is the perfect gift!

I tend to lean more towards bangle bracelets, necklaces and earrings but for an extra special mothers day gift, partner up with your siblings and purchase a custom made Mother’s ring. Usually this is a big stone that is her birthstone and it is surrounded with little stones that symbolize each child. I promise you it will no only feel fun to be partnering with your brothers and sisters to plan this surprise it will be something that you all will remember forever!

#2. Plant with a planter

This is a very personal gift that and my mom have been giving each other for years. I love plants. I think they not only are beautiful to look at and make a room feel good, they are healthy for you. Not only do they help create more peace and filter the air you breathe they actually teach you how to care for a living thing!

Taking care of a plant can be difficult and has a learning curve but looking over at your multiple year old plant and remembering the event it was gifted you for is rewarding in of itself! Trust me, gifting plant may seem strange but it is one that will be cherished!

You can personalize this gift by finding a unique planter that would fit their decor and style. If you are not a plant person you would be surprised at what a fun gift this is not only to receive but to put together.

#3. Luxury Beauty Products

Treat Mom to beauty gifts from Nordstrom with her favorite fragrance, skin care and more.

I mean, this is a beauty blog so you KNOW I had to throw in some beauty products. Surprise your mom with a bundle of hair products or skin care. I have always been a fan of gift baskets or bundles or gifts that go together.

A skin care bundle would include, a cleanser, a mask and a moisturizer with a soft towel or hair band to go along with it.

A hair care bundle would be a Shampoo, a conditioner and either a mask or styling product with a towel or brush or clips or something else that goes with hair depending on how she wears it.

I think they are fun ways of getting your mom to treat herself over the next couple of months not just the day or week!

Not sure what products your mom would like…here are my two favorites that would be great for your moms hair!

#4. Specialized Hobby Tools, Accessories or Gift Cards

This is an abstract gift. This one really is dependent on what types of hobbies you or your mom have. Luckily, my mom is a hobby enthusiast so I can run you through a couple examples using hobbies she has gone through!

Crafting. If your mom is into crafting, call her up and mention her recent craft. See if she mentions what she is stuck on or needs and then surprise her with it. This one can be difficult because a lot of moms never say they need anything when we know they do.

My mom got into wood working one year so I bought her some power tools. She wanted to get into fishing so I bought her a fishing license. She wanted to step up her knitting to actual sewing so I got her a book and a gift card to a sewing shop.

Even though gift cards have the bad rap of being thoughtless and not a very good gift, this is an example of the times I think a gift card can be appropriate. Get your mom a meaningful card and pretty bouquet of flowers and give her a gift card to her favorite craft store or place to shopping at. There is NOTHING thoughtless about that if what your mom loves to do is shop!

#5. An Experience

What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than to go and do something with your mom. There is of course the classic Mothers Day gift, spa day! You could gift her a day on her own if she is the independent type or for her and yourself.

I’m sure you need the relaxation as well!

Another more unique idea is to take her on an adventure you love to do and show her why. I took my mom camping last year because it is an activity I have been doing a lot of and she said it made her nervous. I kept telling her how much I loved it though and she started to become interested. I booked a trip I thought would be good for her and I. We went and SHE LOVED IT. Ever since our trip she hasn’t been as worried about me going and she has even mentioned wanting to go on her own some time or finding a group of friends to coordinate a trip with.

This leads me to… go and look up the place she would want to go. Where would she go to use her gift card or where would you go to pick up her craft tool? Check and see if they do any work shops or events and sign you and your mom up so that you can learn a little about her hobbies and spend some bonding time together!

When you show someone something you love to do or open yourself up to trying something your loved one loves even if you don’t think they would like it or you would like it, sometimes you can be surprised!
