The Smooth + Stretch reduces frizz and softens wave pattern — but results vary based on hair type, texture, and history. It is not a straightening treatment. Very tightly coiled hair may see less dramatic smoothing than fine wavy hair. The goal is always hair that is easier to manage and more wearable, not hair that looks like someone else’s.

Consultation
We talk through your hair, your goals, your routine, and your history with smoothing treatments. If Cezanne is the right fit, we proceed. If it is not, we will tell you that too.

Clarifying Shampoo
A deep clarifying cleanse removes buildup and prepares the hair to fully absorb the treatment. No conditioner — the hair needs to be clean and open.

Rough Dry
Hair is blow-dried without conditioner or product until mostly dry. This sets the stage for the solution to work properly.

Cezanne Solution Applied
The treatment is carefully applied section by section. Once applied, it processes for 30 minutes while the formula works into the hair.

Light Rinse
A gentle rinse removes the surface product while keeping the treatment sealed in the hair.

Blow Dry + Flat Iron Seal
Hair is blow-dried smooth and then flat-ironed to seal the treatment. The heat activates the bonding process and locks in the results.

Why I use Cezanne on my own hair.

I have naturally fine curly hair and I have lived in the Bay Area long enough to know what the fog does to it. I tried Cezanne on myself before I ever offered it to a client. That is how I do things.

What I found was that my waves calmed down without disappearing. My hair dried faster, felt softer, and behaved in a way that actually fit into my mornings. I was not chasing it with product and a diffuser at 7am trying to make it cooperate before I got on the water.

No. Cezanne reduces frizz and softens your natural wave pattern but does not eliminate it. If you have wavy hair, you will still have waves — they will just behave. Very tightly coiled hair may see less dramatic smoothing. Results vary by hair type.
No waiting period with Cezanne. You can wash your hair, put it in a ponytail, or use pins immediately after leaving the chair. This is one of the things that makes it different from keratin and Brazilian blowout treatments.
Yes. Cezanne is formaldehyde-free and safe for color-treated hair. In fact, many clients with highlights, balayage, or full color get this treatment without any issue. If you have specific concerns about your color, we will talk through them in the consultation.
Results typically last 3 to 5 months depending on your hair type, how often you wash, and your maintenance routine. It fades gradually, so there is no harsh line or sudden change as it grows out.
Using a sulfate-free shampoo will help extend your results. I will recommend specific products based on your hair at your appointment. That said, one wash with a regular shampoo will not undo the treatment.
Changes or cancellations made within 7 days of your appointment are subject to a $100 rescheduling fee. Please reach out as soon as possible if something comes up so we can do our best to accommodate you.
